Here’s my opinion on SELF-CARE (it’s not what you think)🔥
As business owners we KNOW we can’t pour from an empty cup. But the to-do list is endless (p.s I’ve learnt to accept that I’ll always have tasks left over and now I don’t put so much pressure on myself to get it all done ✔️)
But with so much to do and soooo much damn passion to keep doing it – It’s hard to take time out sometimes… am I right?
I have this chat a lot with clients…
sometimes you don’t realise you need to prioritise self-care until it’s too late 👀
Until you’re waking up tired… Even though you slept well 😴
Until you’re snapping at your partner… over something totally insignificant 😖
Until you’re no longer feeling lit up by what you do and you start questioning everything 😵💫
And it’s a crappy feeling when you realise you’ve been putting yourself to the bottom of your to-do list 😭
Which is why I now schedule 4 self-care activities per month… some as simple as a bath, a massage or a lazy Sunday on the couch binge-watching Netflix 😍
Modems, phones, computers– nearly everything starts working again if you unplug for a minute to let it rest then reboot. And that works for you, too, babe.
So take this note as a reminder from the universe to please stop and take some time.
Even if you don’t feel like it.
Even if you don’t think you need it.
Your body and your system deserve it ❤️
